Potter's House School
Inadequate reading skills compromise every aspect of a student’s education. The successful Reading Recovery program at Potter’s House School, recipient of a $30,000 grant from MEDF, helps elementary students achieve grade-level reading skills rapidly.
|The Economic Literacy curriculum helps students learn and practice real-life money skills in their own classroom through everyday lessons in earning, saving and spending. By inventing their own businesses and products, children are even introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, from developing a business plan to marketing. In 2009, Potter's House received a $26,000 dollar grant to operate the program in its three 2nd/3rd grade classrooms.|
